The front clearing is 5cm and the rear is 6.5cm, I have 195/65/15 winter tires on. Could someone let me know if this looks like it is lowered? Tx Would also like to know if I can safely run 225/60/15 for the summer (as I am just about to get some new summer tires) What is the name of my summer rims? | | | 03-21-2008, 08:53 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Land of the Vikings Posts: 2,700 | Welcome popeye Get some full side on shots Its a bit hard to see from here with the pics as they are It doesnt look lowered in anycase. The incline from the drivaway distorts angle of the wheels. This way we can tell you if lowered or not better. 1996 328ti is right there is the notorious rust on the rear wheel well. | | | 03-26-2008, 04:18 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Waco/Austin, TX Posts: 233 | Looks pretty low. Are you sure thats rust and not just dirt? __________________ 1997 318ti Schwarz II FB | | | 03-26-2008, 05:33 PM | #12 | Member Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: Ontario, Canada Posts: 67 | It is rust! at this moment in time i am not sure how to go about solving that issue ... I feel all the bumps on the pavement, hence the lowered or not question, assuming lowered springs are harder. i just want it to be a better ride. | | | 03-26-2008, 05:45 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: NJ Posts: 1,625 | looks, very much so, lowered... Your suspension could be shot causing it to ride low and harsh. The easiest and best way, rather than people trying to guess from pictures, would be to remove your rear or front wheel and look at the springs. They will probably be really dirty, so take a wet rag and wipe the dirt off. Aftermarket springs will say who the manufacturer is.. It is a lot easier to tell by actually looking to see what springs/struts are on the car. | | | 04-15-2008, 05:31 PM | #15 | Member Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: Ontario, Canada Posts: 67 | How do i know if the vehical has the sports suspension? I was trying to get new shocks and springs and the guy behind the counter asked me this question. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
