Just thought I'd quickly introduce myself. My name is Matt and I own a E36 318is Coupe. I've joined up here as I'm sure lots of you guys have plenty of knowledge and I can learn some things (and contribute where I can) and I'm also after as much information on the Downing Atlanta Supercharger as I can get (also looking to buy one soon). Here's a picture of my 318is in case anybody is interested. | | | 07-23-2011, 08:02 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2010 Location: Riverside ,So-Cal Posts: 725 | Welcome your car looks awesome __________________ EURO FRESH | | | 07-23-2011, 08:18 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2011 Location: Philly Posts: 605 | as much as i love the TI's rear hatchback look, the longer back of this car and (e36)m3 body look is really growing on me. nice ride, and color | | | 07-24-2011, 03:01 PM | #4 | Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: Northampton, UK Posts: 35 | Thanks for the welcome and kind comments! | | | 07-24-2011, 05:08 PM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2011 Location: Eads, TN Posts: 14 | Nice looking car ! | | | 07-24-2011, 05:15 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Tulsa, OK Posts: 252 | Welcome, clean ride! __________________ 1996 318ti base: m44, 5 spd, lsd - 18x8 bremmer kraft wheels w/sumitumo tires 225/40R18 & bmw locking lug studs, 10mm spacers in rear, halo headlights, cold air intake, koni str.t struts and shocks w/mounts, h&r sport springs, serp belts, control arm & tie rod kits, front sway bar links, JVC kd-x50bt headunit w/ipod hook up in the glove box, alpine sps-500(front and rear), jl audio 10" powerwedge max, jl audio 250.1 amp, motor mounts, fuel filter, passenger side window motor, drivers lower window run, muffler hanger kit, various interior bulbs, left door striker/ajar switch, lower hood latches, changed from gray vinal to black leather shift and parking brake boots, m3 weighted shift knob, ngk-r spark plugs, magnecor spark plug wires(blue),new cabin micro-filters,new headliner & a-pillar mouldings, 5w20 synth-blend oil and filter, BG Ultra Guard syn. rear end fluid & ls additive, BG Syncro Shift II syn. manual trans fluids, stainless steel braided brake lines and dot 4 fluid, extra brake light mod, new p/s reservoir and rubber hoses need to do - fix door panels, paint job, MORE MONEY!! | | | 07-24-2011, 05:52 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | Nice! At what stage does meth injection become needed? How difficult is the installation? | | | 07-24-2011, 06:02 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | Selling the whole car, sorry . When you get above 12 psi meth helps a lot. It's pretty easy, just some basic wiring, tapping, etc. Downing Atlanta has a couple of DASC units left I believe at $3800. Pulleys can be sourced from http://www.pulleyboys.com/store/prod...&cat=40&page=1 3.4 = 12 psi, 3.2= 14.5 psi. When you run over 10 psi though, you need different fuel injectors and thus tune. Technique tuning ( www.techniquetuning.com) does a great job with their Stage 3 tune which is what I have. | | | 07-24-2011, 06:19 PM | #10 | Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: Northampton, UK Posts: 35 | Quote: Originally Posted by pnosker Selling the whole car, sorry . Less than I expected tbh. What injectors are needed over 10psi? Is there a specific meth setup required? | | | 07-24-2011, 07:44 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2011 Location: south wales uk Posts: 135 | im running the 3.4 pulley with the standard injectors at the moment but am looking at getting an ugrade as im sure mine must be just about at their max! | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | Similar Threads | Thread | Thread Starter | Forum | Replies | Last Post | new member... | mz. bearings | Personal bios and Introductions | 7 | 07-29-2008 03:55 AM | New member...help!! | ARCHTI | Genuine BMW Parts | 6 | 07-09-2008 06:28 PM | New member | Massive Lee | Lounge | 2 | 04-15-2008 07:08 PM | New member | Petex | Lounge | 26 | 03-24-2008 11:23 PM | And... another new member | NismoPick | Personal bios and Introductions | 3 | 12-15-2006 11:40 PM | |
