Default Just got a 97 Sport

Hello everyone, the names Tony, i live in Toledo, ohio. I bought a 97 sport about a month ago. The car was in excellent condition until about 2 weeks ago when i let my mom drive it, she wrecked it, and i fixed it (thanks to Demus). Not too sure what the color is, its somewhere between Blue/Silver, you decide. Everything about the car and plans can be seen here http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2369669. Let me know what you guys think or any ideas/tips on improving my TI.

Thanks
Tony

It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

I was looking at your cardomain page... "its a little bit different than the crx,but its ok" LOL I'll BET it's different. What year CRX did ya have? I had an '89 Civic Si before the 318ti and I'm still getting used to the differences (all in favor of the BMW).

One suggestion I have for your car... it needs chrome wheels. Coincidentally, I happen to have some I'd be glad to sell! :-D

Your car looks like its Atlantis Blue er sumthin like that...
Check your drivers side strut tower...it should be on there...
You sure it's a sport? It looks like you have the front bumper, but thats about it...
whatever though...it still looks cool

Good call, Randy... other clues are:
--the black side moulding (should be the same width as the moulding on the bumper and have a little "///M" badge on it.
--the rear bumper isn't the same as mine... which is a Sport.

But, I agree with Randy... still a very nice looking ti! "Black" is still best, but I even like the color a lot . It coordinates well with the blue and white of the roundel. :-)

I agree with you guys, that isnt a sport, most likely and active that someone put the mtechnic front bumper on.

And Roadrash you know cordobarot metallic will always be the best color out there.

In 1997 there was no color called Atlantis blue,i have the original 1997 318ti brochure from the dealership and it's either Montreal Blue paint code #297 or Alaska blue code #367. There was just these 2 color blues in that year, after seeing you car i can tell you it is Alska Blue.

Congrats on your ride it looks nice & Welcome to the site.

Not a sport huh? I kinda figured that, but wasnt too sure. The previous owner said that it was a sport because it has the factory sport suspension, header, alarm, premium sound and all that good stuff. It has all leather interior, no cloth whatsoever. The black molding is the same width al the way around. The thing that throws me off is the fact that it has cruise control. I didnt think the sports came with it...could this have been an option??? The front bumper was replaced with an M-tech because he hit a coyote in the country and had to buy a new one. The stock rims are the ones that bmwracerchick has on hers in her sig. Any clues?

Im not a big fan of chrome, but i think it would flow well with the color. BTW, its a 87 si.

It's not a sport model, looks like an active. Sport models don't have all leather seats,it's leather with cloth inserts, sports don't have cruise control. Sport models have the m-tech front/rear bumper and side skirts, you just have the m-tech front bumper. Also the black trim would have an m motorsport badge right under the side marker on the trim. Sports also have 16' rims and actives have 15's.
