Default M42 - M44 DASC

Hey guys,
I need to know if the parts that the DASC kit replaces on our engines are the same for the M42 and M44, and if not who of you guys have the M42 parts available...

I am trying to get a DASC kit from a car and the seller wants me to provide the replacement parts so that the engine still functions.
Thanks in advance guys!

You could probably give downing atlanta a call tomorrow when they open, I'm sure they could tell you what parts the M42 version replaced.

You could buy my M44 parts. I would buy them back if they don't fit. I would think the parts changed out would be the air box, intake manifold, possibly the throttle body and some other intake parts. Or you could buy the whole car and go through my parts and see what you need, then sell the car again. (hint, hint)

Thanks,
I just emailed the seller and asked him to give me a list of the parts from the manual. I have a DASC manual back home, but won't have access to it until late thursday maybe friday...
I'll post the parts if he emails it to me.

Alright I called Downing and the guy told me that the M44 parts would not really work on the M42 ... "that they would cause headaches you don't want"...
and I still would need a new Pulley for the M44 (they're different), different belt, and a new tensioner as well....
He told me I'm better off keeping my parts for the future...

He also mentioned that they will be getting into the Supercharger business pretty soon... This might mean that the DASC kit might be resurrected pretty soon guys!... just that the price might drive some away from it... Since not everyone can afford a SC kit that is almost as expensive as the car it is going to be on!...

It means I will take it as is, no parts exchange, if it is still available when I get back this weekend. Unless I can get the parts he needs for less than $100...

Just wonder what set-up and type of SC they'll use... since the one for the original was discontinued. Hey if Jim would make them available for $2,500 he would sell more kits!...
