Default m44 itb

Looking at a lot of compacts I have never seen one itb'd is there any reason why this isn't a good idea? Are there too many Tuning problems or reliability issues? I think it would something really unique then again its expensive and I've only found 1 place
that makes race and road use setups. I don't care too much for power seeing as you can easily slap a dasc or custom fab a turbo and engine swap anything for awesome gains but I want a 318ti that few have. Any input is awesome or maybe some encouragement http://www.dbilas-dynamic.de/dbilas_eng/index.htm

Those TB's from a S14? Hmmm...

BTW Jesse, do you want a M50 Valve cover (ie: non-plastic) for that S52?

Very nice. So these are straight bolt on? No adapter plate? What else would I need to do and is a tune required?

Hahaha, I wish they were off of an S14. I'd love to have one of those things hangin around. Thanks for the offer James, but I'm planning on keeping it OBDII, plus I already have the plastic "BMW M Power" covers which are going to be custom painted

Right on man, good guess. They're Mikuni carbs off of an early '90's GSXR. I was meaning to ask bu-ti-ful if he wanted them.

Your guess is as good as mine. I've had them laying around the garage for a few years now. I seen it done on a Honda before, looked pretty cool. To be perfectly honest though I don't even know if they'd be the right bore. You'd absolutely need to make an adapter plate and run hoses to each one individually, I'm sure the spacing is nowhere near the M44's. Not to mention these are carbs, so you'd have all sorts of stuff to reconfigure, bypass and redesign. This is something that would be way beyond the average DIYer's ability. You'd be lucky to maintain the stock HP and not blow anything up, lol.

Now that is a project I would not want to do. It think it would net less power then the stock setup and would really be a pain to keep tuned. It would look pretty cool if done right with attention to detail.

Only my opinion, John S
