Article on 318ti….one to buy etc.

I can't remember which of the monthlies it was…my apologies. Read this afternoon on a quick break and it sighted the 318ti, 318is and 540i as 4k cars to look for.

Personally, I think the 318ti's will only go up in value as more and more people discover them. I commented in another post, but I have owned an e30 M3, a couple m coupes, e30 328is, z3, 740il, 528it, a killer m3 race car and have instructed/driven a number of modern m3's on the track AND although the 318ti is not faster than any of them think it's one of the most fun to drive on a daily basis.

Commuted today in LA in mine and am glad I didn't sell to the lowball 4k offer I had from a CL post. I am going to hold onto mine, fix the front seat and just drive it a couple times a week.

4k car? I don't think the sport package/m tech are only worth 4k when e30's are selling for twice the price!

I'm really liking these articles stating that the 318ti will appreciate, if only by a little. Gives me hope I can fix it up to autocross it and sell it in 4 years without taking a huge hit on the modifications I put in.

I do get jealous seeing all the <$3k E36 sedans out around now. It makes me want to hop into one of those too and autocross those instead since their platform is more proven to be successful in STX (plus the POWAAAH).
