Yeah, thats ridiculous. So the dealer "paid" 4k and selling it for double...not right. Sad part is that some yuppy will probably think its a deal and buy it for that amount. Make me think I'm in the wrong business. I've always dreamed of having a small lot but don't know how to start....

In debt or unemployed?
My wife has been unemployed twice in the past 2 years.
First time the company moved out of state.
Second time, laid off. She is back to work although has to travel 45 minutes now.

Good grief, 4k in repairs? I am curious now, what all did your "local mechanic" say it needed to "get it back in shape"? Cosmetically your old ti looked to be in really darn good shape and with only 90k miles on the clock, she is just barely broken in.

Default how to

Really wanting to get into a nice TI

Has anyone talked to the owner about what repairs were needed. I am wondering if this repair inspection can be reporduced for a bargaining chip, and what exactly it included.

I like this car, it looks like a good one, but it seems that there needs to be a little give and take here with this dealer.

Any ideas??

Just got my inspection from my BMW Indy, he says..."these will be going up in value if you hold on to it"... When? Who knows, is that not what they all say? I am not convinced? Still need to do the headliner, the clutch, and a few other odds and ends to make my car "near" perfect. But, don't want to dump a bunch of cash into a loosing proposition?
