So the dealer "paid" 4k and selling it for double...not right. Sad part is that some yuppy will probably think its a deal and buy it for that amount. Make me think I'm in the wrong business. I've always dreamed of having a small lot but don't know how to start.... __________________ | | | 01-29-2011, 04:49 PM | #33 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by Platanos Yeah, thats ridiculous. Second time, laid off. She is back to work although has to travel 45 minutes now. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 01-31-2011, 02:07 AM | #37 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: Denver, Colorado Posts: 255 | Quote: Originally Posted by 318pilot I took it to my local mechanic and had them tell me all that was needed to get it back in shape. I am curious now, what all did your "local mechanic" say it needed to "get it back in shape"? Cosmetically your old ti looked to be in really darn good shape and with only 90k miles on the clock, she is just barely broken in. __________________ (00=[][]=00) _______________ ________ Steve Still looking for a monthy driver 1988 M3 parked 1967 2000cs parked | | | 02-21-2011, 05:33 PM | #38 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2011 Location: Virginia Posts: 5 | how to Really wanting to get into a nice TI Has anyone talked to the owner about what repairs were needed. I am wondering if this repair inspection can be reporduced for a bargaining chip, and what exactly it included. I like this car, it looks like a good one, but it seems that there needs to be a little give and take here with this dealer. Any ideas?? | | | 02-21-2011, 09:48 PM | #39 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2010 Location: Lancaster PA Posts: 274 | Just got my inspection from my BMW Indy, he says..."these will be going up in value if you hold on to it"... When? Who knows, is that not what they all say? I am not convinced? Still need to do the headliner, the clutch, and a few other odds and ends to make my car "near" perfect. But, don't want to dump a bunch of cash into a loosing proposition? | | | 02-22-2011, 04:44 AM | #40 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2011 Location: Virginia Posts: 5 | more so we know it had rear end damaged that was properly repaired. we know it had some amount of repair that needed to happen.....mechanic said 3-4K and is it me, or does it look like the seats have been wet?
