Default Vacuum check valve positioning?

In the middle of the cooling system redo, and I was replacing the vacuum lines. I don't remember if it is the white side or the black side of the check valve that is toward the vacuum resevoir? Little help...please!

TIA...

My valve cover and intake are out for powder coating, so I have time for you to check! Just let me know in a day or two and I will be good.

Many thanks!

What I always do is blow/suck on the check valve to see which way it lets air go. I'm getting too old to remember color codes....

I've put everything back together already and would like to avoid having to go through the hassle of pulling the intake apart if its on there right. But it looks like I might have too if I can’t get a confirmation on this. Mine currently has the black end facing the reservoir.
