Default 1995 318ti Active (battered betty sue) for sale.

Well, the time has come where I need to sell my ti

She's treated me well, though the roads and other drivers have not treated her well...

There is major damage to the body (not affecting the frame) and something's not right with the rear driver's side hub/rotor assembly, I believe it's from an E30.

Other than that, the M42 with 125000 miles purrs like a kitten, and the trans shifts nice and smooth. Guages/aftermarket stereo/lights all work nicely as well. Though there is definitely a fitment issue with the rear driver's side wheel, there is no shimmy/vibration as a result.

Sunroof works great. The windows do fall out of track every once in a while (common problem in the ti), but they are working fine now.

The interior is in good shape, dash is great. Driver's side seat doesn't tilt forward and has some scratches (from last owner). Passenger side seat works perfectly and looks great. Rear seats have a few small holes/tears but nothing major. Carpets are not ripped. Headliner originally sagged, then I fixed it, but now it's sagging again. Guess my glue didn't hold well.

Power locks/alarm work, as well as hatch.

HVAC works fine, but A/C squeals a bit, I believe a bearing is going on one of the belt pulleys.

No electrical problems, lights all work fine.

Smoked clear corners on the car, as well as clear tails.

15" stock 10-spoke rims in good condition.

Although there is major body damage on driver's side... doors/windows were unaffected.

I need to 'try' and sell it because I'm starting a new job soon and am going to need to commute a bit farther.

I'm at work right now, but when I get home later I'll take some pictures of the car.

Located in southern Bergen County, NJ.

Best offer gets it. Could be considered a "Parts or Project car."

I also have new brake pads/rotors, and a hub for that rear drivers side wheel that I'll throw in as well.

I really don't want to have to part this car out, as I really don't have the time or space to do so. I know I'm gonna take a hit on this, but I'm going to have to live with that.

Thanks.

-Jeff

pics and a price

Not really in the market for a car, but, i'm close, and i've been keeping an eye out for one. Don't have too high of a budget, so don't get your hopes up, but i'm looking forward to pics and your price.

Default Here are the pics.

I have no idea what this is worth to anyone.

Highest bidder in the next week.

I really don't want to have to part the car out... I commute to NYC every day and really don't have time. Also looking to get rid of this thing fast. Don't necessarily need a car since I grab the bus from my corner each day now.

Fell free to post any questions. I'll be on here more frequently now. Request pics if you like, i'll likely have them up the same night.

Haven't cleaned it in a while, it's been sitting in the street/driveway under trees.

I do have euro ellipsoids which is the reason the car won't pass NJ inspection. It's overdue by more months than I can remember... probably since January... but like I said, I rarely use it anymore.

Thanks for your interest everyone.

Happy hunting.

More pics.

Thanks again all.

<EDIT> That wire hanging out the glovebox is just a stereo input for my MP3 player. Headunit is alpine and colors match the interior.

I'll take some pics of the engine tomorrow and post them. It runs great, and that goes for the trans as well. No slippage on the clutch either. Nice and tight. Diff makes no noise, it is NOT LSD.

A/C (i believe) makes a wheezing sound in correlation with RPMS but it has been working fine.

can you snap some more interior pics while you're at it, like d-side, rear seats, and the trunk area? Looks like it needs a bunch of work, but maybe it'll keep me busy during the summer. Got to talk to my dad and see if he agrees, been considering one for a college commuter.

thanks

Forgot to ask, you said inspection would fail for the clear front marker lights? Do you have to stockers to throw back on? Not too big a deal.

I have to talk to my dad and see if he'd let me shoot you an offer, it's his garage/driveway it's got to be parked in for the summer. Wouldn't let me pick up one I had found in December, but that's because he was between jobs at the time and didn't want the hassle. We'll see where he stands now.

No, actually it's not the smoked cornermarkers... they blink amber...

It's actually the physical headlights, they are Euro Ellipsoids (nice and bright).

I have stockies you can throw on to pass inspection if needed. Whomever gets the car can have them, as well as a new brake pad set... rotors, a hub for that rear wheel, and a few more odds and ends I have laying around.

ah got it, now I know why I liked the look from the frontend a lot more than most TI's i've seen. Thought something was up with the headlights, but wasnt' sure.

Get a chance to snap a couple more pics? I'll try to talk to my dad tonight and see his take.

thanks
