I'd like your opinion on whether you'd go for 18" or 19" rims, and what do you think about these rims I saw these rims the other day, and they looked pretty good. Only prob is, they only come in 18x8s afaik Thanks in advance | | | 12-21-2009, 06:04 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Auburn, WA Posts: 1,814 | they look good but 19" would be a litle bit too big so go with the 18" __________________ 5/96 318TI Sport BIG TURBO | | | 12-21-2009, 06:06 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | +1, even 18"s are kinda big, but they're not that bad | | | 12-21-2009, 06:35 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2004 Location: Sydney, Australia Posts: 593 | Thanks for the feedback. Was thinking 19s might be too harsh on the road. Not sure what the market is like in the US atm, but everywhere I look around now, it seems like all the new cars are on 19s and 20 inch rims. Does anyone here have 18s or 19s on their ti's and do you have pics? | | | 12-21-2009, 06:53 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | 18"s with 225/40R18 tires and a photoshopped drop | | | 12-21-2009, 07:11 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Memphis, Tn Posts: 1,299 | One guy on here has his car bagged and it either running 19's or 20's. I think they are 20's. I would go with the 18's. I have 17's on my car now and if I got it dropped I would start to worry about rubbing. __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 12-21-2009, 09:20 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2004 Location: Sydney, Australia Posts: 593 | Quote: Originally Posted by tiFreak 18"s with 225/40R18 tires and a photoshopped drop | This looks nice. Have to be honest I only got them by chance and not by choice and was a little apprehensive about fitting them at first but since fitting them they have kind of grown on me. I had 8x18`s on it previously and have to say driving the car on 19`s with new tread is such an improvement over 18`s with no tread I run my car on coilovers which are set pretty low(although need readjusting to get right stance) and dont get any rubbing issues.Only time the wheels do rub is when the steering is on full lock and they will rub on the front inner arch. | | | 12-21-2009, 11:39 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2004 Location: Sydney, Australia Posts: 593 | Marv, your car looks HOT!
