After months of trying i have finally managed to get hold of an original M-Tech rear spoiler for my ti. Can anyone with one of these spoilers give me details of how it is fitted; Hole diameters through the boot lid? Are grommets used? Dimensions for where the two hole centres need to be. I would really appreciate any ideas as drilling into my cars back end is a bit scary! Thanks | | | 07-13-2006, 03:41 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | I just received an OEM kit still in the box. I can't promise to be too fast but I can share with you any instructions, diagrams and dimensions they supply. Let me know. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 07-13-2006, 11:57 AM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Nottingham Posts: 12 | That would be brilliant thankyou. [email]robjuggins@yahoo.co.uk Just removed the inner cover in the boot that houses the rear wiper motor and there are two 30mm holes for access to the nuts that secure the spoiler to the boot lid. Drilling centrally to these should be right. | | | 07-13-2006, 01:06 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire, UK Posts: 104 | nice1 robbie where did you manage to get it from?? how much did you pay?? i'm on the hunt for one myself but aint had much luck | | | 07-13-2006, 11:44 PM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Nottingham Posts: 12 | Got lucky on ebay! I'd been after one for a while and one popped up on there while i wasn't looking. One of the mounting studs had broken so it wasn't stupid price either.Easily fixed will get it bolted on in the morning. | | | 10-18-2006, 12:49 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: ipswich Posts: 656 | did u ever get instructions for this | | | 10-18-2006, 04:40 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Sorry, I moved and my spoiler is in storage till November.
