Default Supersprint Header Soon To come!

I've taken a break from modding the ti since I did the Dinan Tranny chip, Flag, Headlights, HID's, and still working on the Angel Eye install. I came across a Supersprint Header on bimmerforums barely used with only a couple hours on it for sale. I talked to the guy on the phone to see if he still has it and said that he'll let it go to me for $300, what a steal! the header is located about 2 hours west from me and I'm going to pick it up in 2 weeks when I head back home and then install it up on the m42 and hear the SS and Stromung combo. I'll keep you guys updated when time gets closer.

You know your going to lose low end hp/tq with this header and gain a few at high end. I think it's been proven that the stock header is the best one out there since the ti's need the low end power.

Yeah, the stock headers are almost perfectly tuned for regular driving + some autox. Only when running on oval tracks would any good be found on another header I think.

I've heard about that, but havent heard from anyone on here or on any other site that has had them on before, but for $300 its worth a try to see what happens.

So anybody that has any time running engine dyno's can tell you the effect headers have on an engine,, and our cars if street driven DONT meet the need. If your retuned to run sustained track RPM's (6000+) you'll see power, Like up to 15hp.
Without track tuning there will not be a provable improvement in power. Tire pressure will have more affect on your car. Don't believe? Buy some chassis dyno time and do three pulls. Youll get the best HP numbers with about 35 lbs in your tires, worst with 25. Sometimes up to a 20HP difference on the dyno.

Just my 2 bits worth...

If you do decide to get one...why not just get the one off ebay for 179.99 brand new?<<<may be a stupid question, but i just had to ask.

Cause SuperSprint is a quality product and it's almost new. I've also heard from a few with I6's that the ebay is not a direct bolt on, idk if it's the same with the I4.
