We had an "M" on the front of the MCoupe that saved the bumper when a yahoo backed into it with a pickup with a hitch. Since then....been runnin bare on that one. It's a custom job from a VW enthusiast I met several years back. (I'm originally from PA, where the car is still registered). The only trouble I've had with it was some podunk federal cop giving me crap after pulling over my ex who was driving. I told him that PA doesn't issue front plates, and he gave me a sneer. Earlier in the day he dealt with a few Carrera GTs, so I imagine he was a bit miffed. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 05-03-2006, 08:48 PM | #18 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: No Where Posts: 297 | Gotta go w/ the Euro Plate. I'm in AZ and we don't require a front license plate. That's why I can actually have the chance to put this on. | | | 05-09-2006, 01:23 PM | #19 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: No Where Posts: 297 | I just ordered my Euro Plate last night. It matches my AZ plate. I know a few guys that run with no front plates on and amazingly they still havent been stopped by the cops. | | | 06-06-2006, 11:13 PM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Puerto Rico Posts: 885 | I HAVE A EUROPEAN PLATE THAT READ "bmw m3" __________________ BMW...MY NEW TOY Mods: Some plastic parts, ///M Wheels and me | | | 08-09-2006, 10:45 PM | #23 | Member Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Antelope Valley, CA Posts: 55 | no plate. | | | 08-11-2006, 03:15 AM | #24 | Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Central PA Posts: 96 | I got two gently used plates off ebay from a German seller. He included the black plastic trim. I think I only paid $6 each, with maybe a few more bucks for shipping. I really like the authentic look. Was even from Munich which was an added plus. Beats the price through Bavarian. | | | 08-11-2006, 08:48 AM | #25 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Bremerhaven, Germany Posts: 977 | After reading the responses, I am not sure I should have voted. On the other hand, the pollster probably wouldn't want the written responses to his poll bias the voting. | | | 01-05-2007, 02:14 AM | #26 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Great White North! There are bunch of websites that make European plates that you can personalize. Would a European plate with: “318ti.org” on it be alright? __________________ 318ti, sport, hellrot, 05/95 Munich, Germany | | | 01-05-2007, 02:45 AM | #28 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Fort Collins, CO Posts: 1,305 | i got a couple of french plates off ebay for like 13 bucks shipped. waiting to put em on | | | 04-13-2007, 04:11 PM | #29 | Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Arroyo Grande, CA Posts: 61 | $11 ftw | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | Similar Threads | Thread | Thread Starter | Forum | Replies | Last Post | component or stock? | gambit | Interior and ICE | 25 | 10-10-2008 09:23 PM | |
