They are supposed to be enforcing it here in CA now, but I have a NASA logo on my front plate (see the July calandar photo) but the plate is behind it.....so, technically, I have a plate affixed to the front.

We had an "M" on the front of the MCoupe that saved the bumper when a yahoo backed into it with a pickup with a hitch. Since then....been runnin bare on that one.

Kettering; my avatar shows my front plate. It's a custom job from a VW enthusiast I met several years back. (I'm originally from PA, where the car is still registered).

The only trouble I've had with it was some podunk federal cop giving me crap after pulling over my ex who was driving. I told him that PA doesn't issue front plates, and he gave me a sneer.

Earlier in the day he dealt with a few Carrera GTs, so I imagine he was a bit miffed.

Gotta go w/ the Euro Plate. I'm in AZ and we don't require a front license plate. That's why I can actually have the chance to put this on.

Just got my Euro License Plate in the mail yesterday, but now I have no car to put it on yet.

:sigh:

I'll post new pics when I get my car back from the collision center.

Up here its required to have a front plate but i wish it wasnt. I know a few guys that run with no front plates on and amazingly they still havent been stopped by the cops.

I got two gently used plates off ebay from a German seller. He included the black plastic trim. I think I only paid $6 each, with maybe a few more bucks for shipping. I really like the authentic look. Was even from Munich which was an added plus. Beats the price through Bavarian.

After reading the responses, I am not sure I should have voted. On the other hand, the pollster probably wouldn't want the written responses to his poll bias the voting.

I was thinking a bout getting a European plate since my bumper is setup for it. There are bunch of websites that make European plates that you can personalize.

Would a European plate with: “318ti.org” on it be alright?
