Default Universal Intercooler Kit

Could it work? For the DASC'ers

It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

im new to this so bare with me....

ok so theres 2 sides. One side will go in the intake part? So itll be placed where the air filter would go, and the air filter would get removed completely? So itll be MAF to Intercooler tube, instead of the air filter?

What about the other side, where does that have to go?

Hugo i in the supercharger setup the intercooler not add noting because you need to cooler the air between the blower and the intake manifold and the intercooler not work because is in front of the blower, in the turbo setup is different because the hot air the is out from the turbina go the be cool in the intercooler and then go to the engine. For the supercharger setup trhe best way to cool the air is spray some mix of water with alcohol.

But if you like you can install it for the agressive look of your Ti, i think the price is good, you instal it front of the car, then conect one side to the intake and put the air filter in the other side

That would cause some restriction to air flow, you'd be better off to just bolt it in unconnected if bling is the goal...

Anyway thats my pennies worth...

just put your air filter in a spot where it will get good cold air, or better yet make a ram air setup. this way atleast you are starting with the coldest air possible. alcohol/water injection will help keep it cool the whole way through but you have to know what your doing.

The trouble with roots style blowers (like the DASC) is the big rectangular exhaust opening. In order to fit an intercooler to the S/C, you need to make an adaptor from that big opening to a 2 or 3 inch tube.. then down to the intercooler, and then back to the intake.

There are other issues as well, like how to mount the S/C now that you have done that, longer belts, and the issue of find room to run all that piping. If I was going to intercool a DASC (and I am thinking about it) I would use air to water with the Laminova cores in a small adaptor that fits between the S/C and the intake manifold
