One side will go in the intake part? So itll be placed where the air filter would go, and the air filter would get removed completely? So itll be MAF to Intercooler tube, instead of the air filter? What about the other side, where does that have to go? | | | 03-29-2007, 10:17 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Ireland Posts: 382 | this is how it works on a turbo.... im not sure how it works with a supercharger i couldnt get ny info on it... courtesy of howstuffworks.com __________________ ............................. ..........1999 318iS Coupe.......... For the supercharger setup trhe best way to cool the air is spray some mix of water with alcohol. __________________ BMW...MY NEW TOY Mods: Some plastic parts, ///M Wheels and me | | | 03-29-2007, 02:22 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Puerto Rico Posts: 885 | But if you like you can install it for the agressive look of your Ti, i think the price is good, you instal it front of the car, then conect one side to the intake and put the air filter in the other side __________________ BMW...MY NEW TOY Mods: Some plastic parts, ///M Wheels and me | | | 03-29-2007, 04:10 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | That would cause some restriction to air flow, you'd be better off to just bolt it in unconnected if bling is the goal... Anyway thats my pennies worth... In order to fit an intercooler to the S/C, you need to make an adaptor from that big opening to a 2 or 3 inch tube.. then down to the intercooler, and then back to the intake. There are other issues as well, like how to mount the S/C now that you have done that, longer belts, and the issue of find room to run all that piping. If I was going to intercool a DASC (and I am thinking about it) I would use air to water with the Laminova cores in a small adaptor that fits between the S/C and the intake manifold | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | Similar Threads | Thread | Thread Starter | Forum | Replies | Last Post | factory restriction | maherbaz | Air Filters/Intakes | 1 | 08-11-2005 06:29 PM | |
