I bought this car several months back for my daughter. When I bought it, the handling was a bit off, so I brought it to my mechanic and he replaced the front control arms with E30 control arms (more durable than E36) and new control arm bushings. I brought the car home and detailed the interior and exterior and replaced any missing or broken pieces and parts. I gave the car to my daughter and we were going to go on a drive so she could get a feel for the car; she adjusted the seat all the way forward and could not reach the clutch pedal. So, I decided to stop there as she is 19, just barely over 5' and doesn't seem to be getting any taller. The car does have a leaking valve cover gasket and the first gear synchros are shot (not a big deal, just means full-stop before putting the car in gear). Check engine light came on on the way home from the carwash this afternoon, will pull codes and see what is going on. This car is a 1998 with the top of the line M-Sport package which consists of M-tuned suspension, M3 bumpers and side-skirts, fog-lights, alloy wheels, and sport seats. The car is nicely equipped and has heated seats. The car has approximately 126,000 miles on it. The car has an after market Sony stereo that has a pretty cool iPod integration (shown in the pictures below). The car is located in Haverhill, MA and is being sold as-is, where-is. Please PM me any questions, offers, etc. Only trades that will be considered will be a VW Beetle or a Mini Cooper. Asking Price is $3500 OBO 318ti.org will only allow 6 pictures. Because my Ti is a Sport and the interior looks different __________________ EURO FRESH | | | 05-30-2011, 04:25 PM | #5 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,159 | Yes, this has a Sport interior. But, what year(s) were rear headrests included? I thought they were only in 1999, but may be wrong on that. I would GUESS that this is a Base/Active, ordered with Sport interior and wheels... and later had the Sport front bumper added. The key word there is "guess." :-D __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! Like Bluebimma said on bf.c and all agree here. It's not a Sport. Also missing the shroud over the radiator. Maybe front end accident? It's a base. If it was an active it would have OBC and cruise. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 05-30-2011, 06:50 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | I see an OBC in the pics of the radio, no cruise control though in any case, I may possibly be interested in this if the local ti I'm trying to get doesn't work out | | | 05-30-2011, 07:04 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by tiFreak I see an OBC in the pics of the radio, no cruise control though | Oh that's right. A clock would just say H M. My bad. I see a cable under the hood. Is that cruise or ASC-T? __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 06-01-2011, 03:22 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2009 Location: Burlington, NJ Posts: 560 | guys, my guess is this is a genuine sport package car, because the only ones equipped with fogs are the sport package cars. It is possible someone retro'd them, but to do it the right way with the switch is a PITA, ask how I know! Also it is possible it was rear-ended at some point and the bumper was replaced with a standard one on the cheap. __________________ 1996 318ti - 2000 Z3 2.3 - 2012 MINI Cooper Hatchback | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
