Default Compact owner looking to upgrade to a 1.8 sport

Hi everyone,

My friend pointed me over to this forum. I’m in the UK however i am so pleased to find a community dedicated to these wonderful cars.

I have a 1.6 standard compact, which i have owned for 2 years. I have had a few problems (as with most cars) but generally speaking she’s looked after me in all weather conditions and has been very reliable.

I am oh so tempted to trade in my car (as much as i love her) for a compact 1.8 sport. Listed on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I know there is only so much you can say from looking at pictures and descriptions, however I spoke to the gentlemen and he said he would give my car a part exchange value of around £700 ($1,086)

I could then pay just £1000 for the car ($1,552) . Based on the spec and what’s listed, do you guys think it would be a recommended purchase?

Any info would be great.

Thanks

Nick

I don't know how the average prices compare between the US and UK, but just going by the exchange rate that sounds like an excellent deal

Thanks for your reply. That’s what i first thought, in terms of UK price as well its a good deal. Mileage seems about right for the year as does previous owners!

Thanks

You NEED that! Very nice, even with the steering wheel on the wrong side.
