Would i be ok if i jsut replaced the shocks? I know that when shocks go they become bouncier, mine seems harder... Is that how it would feel, id ont realy know much about it. I know you can go to each corner of the car and push donw and see if its bouncy ( mine seem to bounce a little) the problem seesm to be more in the rear. The car has 96k miles, and i pretty sure stock suspension. I am currently planning on buying Bilstein HDs this week if thats all i really need, i dont realy have that much money to spend on this right now. Thanks for the help, sorry if the questions been repeated. __________________ 1993 325is Hellrot Tribute to: 97 318ti Montreal Blue R.I.P 96 318ti Schwartz II | | | 12-07-2005, 01:31 AM | #2 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Did this start to happen when it got colder out? __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 12-07-2005, 03:47 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Thousand Oaks, California Posts: 343 | sorta but it was bad before too. __________________ 1993 325is Hellrot Tribute to: 97 318ti Montreal Blue R.I.P 96 318ti Schwartz II | | | 12-07-2005, 04:23 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: southern CA Posts: 127 | I had the same problem as you, so I purchased some HD's and they are the best! __________________ 1996 318ti sport model, m3 bumper cover, velocity splitter, AKG shift knob, factory clears, super sprint exhaust, UUC floormats, UUC tranny mounts, UUC clutch bushings, UUC shifter bushings, Powerflex LCABS... replaced with treehouse eyeballs, front sway bar bushings, RTABS, TMS rear shock mounts, Bilsteins, Xbrace, sparco strut brace, AKG subframe bushings, AKG differential mount bushing, M coupe shifter, meyle ball joints and sway bar endlinks | | | 12-07-2005, 05:59 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Minneapolis Posts: 1,587 | Quote: Originally Posted by 96 3 1 8 ti I had the same problem as you, so I purchased some HD's and they are the best! | What springs are you running with your Bilstein HDs? IF you have the OEM sport springs, did it change your ride height at all? I think they are the same as the sports, but the sports are meant to be used with lowering springs, which will lower the ride height. __________________ 1996 318ti sport model, m3 bumper cover, velocity splitter, AKG shift knob, factory clears, super sprint exhaust, UUC floormats, UUC tranny mounts, UUC clutch bushings, UUC shifter bushings, Powerflex LCABS... replaced with treehouse eyeballs, front sway bar bushings, RTABS, TMS rear shock mounts, Bilsteins, Xbrace, sparco strut brace, AKG subframe bushings, AKG differential mount bushing, M coupe shifter, meyle ball joints and sway bar endlinks | | | 12-08-2005, 04:22 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Minneapolis Posts: 1,587 | Quote: Originally Posted by 96 3 1 8 ti I have the OEM sport springs. I was not sure if the .6" drop that the OEM sport springs give was low enough to justify the Bilstein Sports. Sounds like HD's are the way to go Thanks! | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
