Default DASC 318ti Health Check this weekend - Advice?

I'll be pulling the DASC off this weekend for inspection and general maintenance. I'll also be doing a compression test to determine how much life the m44 has left in it. While I'm in there, what else should I look at?

This is what I plan on doing:
- Replace DASC gaskets, clean and seal everything
- Reroute factory FPR so it sees boost
- Inspect SC for telfon coating failure
- Replace any vacuum lines, hoses that need it
- Replace valve cover gasket, spark plug gaskets
- Compression check
- Install new Bosal exhaust

Is there anything else I should do while I'm at it? I just rolled 134k miles.

Everything went great this weekend. I pulled the SC and verified that I did lose some teflon coating from the water injection, but not all of it. I pulled the valve cover and replaced all the gaskets, I'll post pics later today.

I did a compression test, surprisingly I have 180 psi in each cylinder!!!!!! Uhhhh, the motor has 135k miles on it, 35k with a supercharger and it still has 180 psi of compression??? Holy sh1t! My helpers where very impressed with the dual timing chain and roller rockers. I also checked and verified that the cam gears on the m44 ARE adjustable. I replaced the spark plugs with Bosch Platinum +2, the car idles a little better now. I re-routed the vacuum line for the stock FPR so it sees boost, this actually made a noticeable difference! We also replaced all DASC and intake manny gaskets while we had everything apart.

Overall, I'm impressed with the condition of everything. I thought I would for sure find something wrong after the abuse I've given it.

I may have the same problem. At idle, my RPMs go from 600 to 950 most of the time.

What is the part number for the spark plugs? I may try them and see what happens.

AutoZone carries them, just tell them your model/year and you want Bosch Plat 4(4 electrods per plug)

It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

Stay away from +4 anything. Just stick with the stock recommended plugs!!!! Why would you run a different plug than what the manufacture recommends? I've had nothing but problems with +4s. Remember SplitFire? Those things were junk but cost $8/piece!
