battery light question

pretty new to the forum and to ti's but i have a 95 auto and i daily drove it for about 5 months than it sat for the past 6 months i put a brand new battery in and at first it wouldnt stay running without my foot on the gas, now it will stay running and drive, but the battery light stays on, tends to fade away if i hit the gas anyone had this problem before? car was running mint before parked and never had that issue.

Sounds like your alternator is dying... almost dead.
It's easy to change out yourself. Start shopping now, or it will leave you stranded. I would not go to the dealer for one unless you have money to burn.
