I don't see any racing teams using this. It takes a lot of (horse) power to pump air into an engine. I think the drag of a supercharger an be upwards of 20-30% of the crank hp. It would take a pretty big electric motor running a lot of amps to move that much air. In fact, I bet the electric fan unit actually reduces airflow into the motor at higher rpms.
