I did not mean to say it looks good on most cars. . .just that it looks good on that particular car. I realize getting my ti to look like that would probably cost at a minimum what I just paid for it. I'm betting that the fitment on that car is perfect. As for safety - what is it about lambo doors that are unsafe? I'm not being a hardass. . I just don't know. | | | 02-15-2007, 11:26 PM | #36 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | Quote: Originally Posted by zboot As for safety - what is it about lambo doors that are unsafe? | Somewhere there's a group of photos of an actual Lambo that crashed and landed upside down. Both occupants died, possibly by burning. Yes, you can see the bodies in some of the photos. Pretty gruesome stuff. The relevant point being that if the car had "normal" doors, they might have been able to open them and escape. JMJ __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! Not to make light of the situation. . . but having a hatchback could come in handy. . | | | 02-16-2007, 12:08 AM | #38 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Land of the Vikings Posts: 2,700 | true, some lambo doors have both swing up AND out functions, so i suppose the saftey element is covered in that respect. just make sure u get ones that can do both __________________ Vin Number decode and Retrofit Pdfs Available Free ! I really like the total look of that e46 in the picture I posted. I've already decided that I'm not going to spend more than $200 in mods on my car unless I'm going to keep it until it dies. That being said, if I'm ever going for lambo doors. . . I'd want my car to look like the one in the pic. LoL, I just thought of something. If you flipped that e46, assuming it was a hatchback, that spoiler would keep you from getting out. | | | 02-16-2007, 05:17 AM | #42 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Beaufort, SC Posts: 298 | lol! | | | 02-17-2007, 10:58 PM | #43 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Bath NY Posts: 120 | well i just bought some lambo doors for my ti and i will post pics up this spring when i get my car out of storage and painted __________________ | | | 02-18-2007, 12:33 AM | #44 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: maritimes Posts: 1,433 | im really starting to anticipate your photos ill_black............................ __________________ 11/97 Base 328Ti | | | 02-18-2007, 05:52 AM | #45 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Pittsburgh, PA Posts: 1,224 | hehehe we'll convert them yet! | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
