The focus isnt in the right spot.... In my opinion. Though it is a bad ass car, and a very nice pic. I Think rules should be set for touched up pics. The only thing that should be touched up are very minor things. Id say along the lines of make if you take a pic at an awkward angle, and you photoshop off a glare. Maybe if you have a real high res pic, and you got a piece of bird crap on your windshield you didnt think about before the pic. Something small like that. I Think everything should be untouched after that though. Otherwise I Can take a pic of my car on my sandy driveway, and make it on the beach in Maui. __________________ Joe, In San Luis Obispo E30-> '96 TI sport -> E30 -> '96 TI | | | 10-01-2006, 08:09 PM | #56 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Bend, OR Posts: 413 | Quote: Originally Posted by jflip2002 I think the car is nice, and the pic is killer. He just enhanced the color. and why not have an awesome background? Its not like the car isn't in focus, or view. Though it is small, you have to look @ the whole picture. It represents something other than the car too. I love tihs picture. It captivates alot!! I agree for october! and when does the voting start? | | | 10-01-2006, 08:33 PM | #57 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2004 Location: LA & Colo Spgs Posts: 210 | I don't really have a dog in this fight (i.e. no picture in the running), but IMHO, the purpose of the calendar is not to "get your car picked", but rather to make a calendar that maximizes enjoyment of the ti for all... I say, let people edit away, and let the votes speak for themselves... | | | 10-01-2006, 10:49 PM | #58 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Pismo Beach, CA Posts: 500 | Quote: Originally Posted by Budget M3 I don't really have a dog in this fight (i.e. no picture in the running), but IMHO, the purpose of the calendar is not to "get your car picked", but rather to make a calendar that maximizes enjoyment of the ti for all... I Said they both looked great. I just thought it was kinda supposed to be more of a natural, actual pic, and color. __________________ Joe, In San Luis Obispo E30-> '96 TI sport -> E30 -> '96 TI | | | 10-01-2006, 11:02 PM | #59 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Northern New Jersey Posts: 395 | My camera had a losing battle with a river a few months ago, therefore I didn't have a pic this year. | | | 10-02-2006, 04:02 AM | #60 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by Mikel Nice. The ones with the highest ratings will go into the calendar. Let's not over think this. Thanks,Chris | Yes. We will have a month or more to sort it all that out. Give me a few days to enable the rating system. I just got hom from being away all weekend. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
