I noticed that the rules doesn't mention anything about digitally enhancing our photos for the contest. I have some background knowledge on photoshop and was wondering how far are we allowed to enhance our photos?
Digital touchups are fine.

Nice. But where do you set the limit? How about going as far as changing the whole background? Not that I plan to, I'd like to know just for future references.

I think the car is nice, and the pic is killer. But I dont think it should be picked because 1, it was obviously dramatically edited. 2, I was looking more at the lake and the tree, as opposed to the actual car. The focus isnt in the right spot.... In my opinion. Though it is a bad ass car, and a very nice pic.

I Think rules should be set for touched up pics. The only thing that should be touched up are very minor things. Id say along the lines of make if you take a pic at an awkward angle, and you photoshop off a glare. Maybe if you have a real high res pic, and you got a piece of bird crap on your windshield you didnt think about before the pic. Something small like that. I Think everything should be untouched after that though. Otherwise I Can take a pic of my car on my sandy driveway, and make it on the beach in Maui.

It wasnt too dramatically influenced as you are saying...it's not like he took the pic and then transposed it into another. He just enhanced the color. and why not have an awesome background? Its not like the car isn't in focus, or view. Though it is small, you have to look @ the whole picture. It represents something other than the car too. I love tihs picture. It captivates alot!! I agree for october! and when does the voting start?

I don't really have a dog in this fight (i.e. no picture in the running), but IMHO, the purpose of the calendar is not to "get your car picked", but rather to make a calendar that maximizes enjoyment of the ti for all... I say, let people edit away, and let the votes speak for themselves...

Very good point. IF the rule wasnt stipulated, then it should be fine. Either way, I Wasnt knocking the pic or the car. I Said they both looked great. I just thought it was kinda supposed to be more of a natural, actual pic, and color.

My camera had a losing battle with a river a few months ago, therefore I didn't have a pic this year.

Everyone rates each photo. The ones with the highest ratings will go into the calendar. Let's not over think this.

Yes. We will have a month or more to sort it all that out.

Give me a few days to enable the rating system. I just got hom from being away all weekend.
