Nice! :-) Which calipers are those up front? | | | 07-08-2014, 01:31 AM | #602 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2012 Location: West Bend, Wisconsin Posts: 1,055 | They're just oem e36 front calipers. It seems my front brakes were converted to vented before I got the car though. __________________ 95 318ti & 96 318ti Quote: Originally Posted by eurohb Im Jelly.. enough said. | Follow me on instagram: earlmeyeriii | | | 07-08-2014, 10:32 AM | #603 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2012 Location: West Bend, Wisconsin Posts: 1,055 | Yesterday I took the time to remove the old stickers from my side moulding badges and install the new "Touring International" badges that I had made up. The hardest part was cleaning up the old sticker residue before applying the silicone and new badge. I found that applying WD40 and letting it sit for a few minutes allowed it to be rubbed off fairly easily with a cotton swab. I really like them. There is a reflection under "Touring" in the picture that looks like a scratch but I assure you it isn't=) One of them has a really small bur that I only noticed once they were installed. I am going to try being careful with a razor blade and scrape it off. Otherwise they turned out awesome. __________________ 95 318ti & 96 318ti Quote: Originally Posted by eurohb Im Jelly.. enough said. | Follow me on instagram: earlmeyeriii | | | 07-08-2014, 11:26 AM | #604 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2013 Location: UK, Kent Posts: 206 | This is looking so good, as normal the attention to detail is amazing! getting so close now really coming together Keep it up ! __________________ Follow me on Instagram @Mike_Wooding | | | 07-08-2014, 11:35 AM | #605 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2012 Location: West Bend, Wisconsin Posts: 1,055 | Thanks bud=) __________________ 95 318ti & 96 318ti Quote: Originally Posted by eurohb Im Jelly.. enough said. | Follow me on instagram: earlmeyeriii | | | 07-10-2014, 10:35 PM | #606 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2011 Location: SoCal Posts: 702 | I am always amazed at the lack of, and at the same time positive amount of progress you make. I know that anyone who has been keeping up with the thread is asking you to HURRY THE HELL UP AND FINISH!!! But!, at the same time I am always wondering what your going to scrub with a toothbrush (meteorically speaking) and perfect - and since you have been doing it so perfectly I hope you keep it up and don't start to slack as it gets drawn out and tedious. It does keep moving forward though, and by good chunks now it seems. That being said, that interior!!! Droool =D Good to see it sitting on some rubber again. Looks like there is light at the end of the tunnel. Great updates! __________________ ***328ti Build thread. *** Even more important: SUPPORT 318ti.org! CLICK THE LINK ABOVE! Guessing avg of 27mpg and $4.50 per gallon that's about $330 for gas one way, cheaper then a plane ticket with sleeping in the car. Well finish first. __________________ ***328ti Build thread. *** Even more important: SUPPORT 318ti.org! CLICK THE LINK ABOVE! BTW is there still any possibility of more of those "Touring International" strips made?? __________________ ***328ti Build thread. *** Even more important: SUPPORT 318ti.org! CLICK THE LINK ABOVE! I pulled the car out of the shop so that I could clean my area and the unoccupied section next to me in preparation for my new shop mates. I also did some rearranging. This took up my whole morning. After that John and I went to a friends to get some parts. I got an m20 flywheel for free so that I can do the m20 single mass/ lightweight flywheel conversion. I will be sending it off for machine work shortly. I also grabbed the front clip harness from my buddies e36 parts car so that I can extend my harness and get it routed properly. Other than that I took the doors off because I was trying to make some fasteners work for converting the final four fender mounting locations to m6. I found out that the hardware that I was trying to use wouldn't work. I tapped the old cage nuts for m6 instead and they work great. I should have thought about that before taking the doors off. I also got my metal work/paint quote. If everything falls together properly the car will be heading to paint in about two weeks=) My interior should also be here within the next week to two weeks=P __________________ 95 318ti & 96 318ti Quote: Originally Posted by eurohb Im Jelly.. enough said. | Follow me on instagram: earlmeyeriii | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
