Taking a piss. Leaned over to flush toilet. Keys fall out of sweater into toilet. Keys are bye bye. No spare. Went to dealer. 2 keys $175 bucks. The end. | | | 03-24-2009, 06:28 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | I call BS, everyone knows sweaters don't exist in SoCal... I went to the dealer and they said it will take 3 days. I ordered 2 keys to have one as a spare now. I think I might have to take my car/keys to align the ECU/EWS again So for now my car is just sitting there | | | 03-24-2009, 04:41 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | This is not the end of your woes. In 2 months your pipes will back up. Any chance you have a clean out in the basement and a plumber can get them? __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 03-24-2009, 05:47 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Raleigh/Charlotte, NC Posts: 1,233 | damn that dealer took you. Hugo, sorry about the keys, that sucks big time. Is it because of the swap that you might need the re-flash? __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. Do they have the buttons or are they the valet looking master keys? __________________ | | | 03-24-2009, 10:49 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: Omaha, NE Posts: 737 | Wow, that really sucks. I usually don't grab my keys until I'm headed out the door, so I shouldn't have this problem, at least at home. I thought I read somewhere that the mini-key (the little plastic one) was more expensive then the regular or valet key. I can't remember where I saw that, so I could be wrong. This is a reminder though that I still need to get a spare key. Gonna give the dealer a ring in the morning to see how much.
