It's been done in the E30 world way too many times. | | | 02-02-2012, 04:28 AM | #17 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: Philadelphia, PA Posts: 123 | So here is what I am thinking, and anyone feel free to chime in...if I got a donor 750il I could take the complete engine with computers, ews if applicable (not sure), trans, and Wiring harness. Then I would need an Mcoupe rear sub-frame, med case diff, m3 suspension, m3 spindles and brakes, beefier e30 axles, and an exhaust. If I am missing anything let me know. | | | 02-02-2012, 02:54 PM | #18 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Globally Posts: 1,162 | Might want to consider the Z3 M diff as it's non mechanical. It's very nice. What is the final drive of the trans and are you doing a manual one or auto? EWS IMO eliminate it, simple alarm or locks work. If someone wants it bad enough they will steal it. EWS or not. Rear brakes? | | | 02-02-2012, 10:06 PM | #19 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: Philadelphia, PA Posts: 123 | Quote: Originally Posted by M-technik-3 Might want to consider the Z3 M diff as it's non mechanical. I believe auto's are more common then manuals | | | 02-02-2012, 10:33 PM | #20 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2010 Location: Potomac Falls VA DMV Posts: 1,794 | F*ck Autotragics __________________ Im guessing im the youngest member on here with a S52 power'ed Ti at 16 years old! | | | 02-03-2012, 04:10 AM | #21 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Quote: Originally Posted by M-technik-3 Might want to consider the Z3 M diff as it's non mechanical. Rear brakes? | I could be wrong, but I think Z3 M roadsters and M coupes came with LSD's while non M Z3's came with Torsen diffs. | | | 02-03-2012, 09:51 PM | #23 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Quote: Originally Posted by M-technik-3 | Seen that PDF in this thread on bf.c. The PDF doesn't specifically say anything about the M coupe having a Torsen diff, it only says that the Torsen diff was first used in the Z3 coupe. The vehicles mentioned are the Z3 coupe 2.8 and the M coupe. At the bottom is says the Z3 coupe 2.8 has a 3.15 limited slip ahe M coupe has a 3.23 limited slip.
