There was some "scare" that the K1's were going out of production last year. Seeing that a lot of racers use the K1s, there was a feeding frenzy to buy up the remaining stock (I also bought into it, and got a set of 17x8.5's).
For some "strange" reason, the stock never depleted. I know that a TON of these things were sold over the past year because of the threat of discontinuance. Now, I wonder if it was a ploy to increase sales.
I know that a lot of people also sold their K1's and went to the D-Force LTW1, in the 17x9 size, as they are about the same weight, just as strong, afford fitting a 255 tire better than the 17x8.5 K1, and cost close to the same price.
Of course, they may have ceased production, but there must have been on helluva full warehouse of these things that they are still emptying out almost two years later. $99 is a great price though!! __________________ 1997 332ti - Don't even ask.

yeah, don't think i'd seen a lightweight wheels for $100 before. the 17s are on "special" but are still like $160 each. figured the 16s are lighter and would be a good starting point for a n00b like me  __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles

i remember someone measured my wheels and were like due these are almost 19's and i was like yeah lip to lip but thats not how you measure a wheel lol
