My M3 steering wheel has been sitting on my floor for a bout a year now. I keep putting it off, and I kinda nervous of the airbag going off on me. I bought mine w/ the airbag in it, I think it's from a 95 M3 and it's going into my 95 ti so I should have no issues w/ that horn ring fitting. __________________ McLaren F1 - BMW M Power S70/2 | | | 01-11-2009, 12:06 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: New Orleans Posts: 970 | do you have the colored roundel or the stamped roundel on your current wheel? __________________ ^being rebuilt^ until then: daily car: 96' Blue DASC'd ti with koni coilovers slowly progressing... weekend car: 85 1/2' 944 Porsche no a/c, p/s, gutted cat, loud as hell exhaust, loud as hell sound system | | | 01-11-2009, 12:14 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Orange County, NY Posts: 1,067 | I guess stamped? You mean the logo on the center of the steering wheel? It looks just like yours, but the seller put a carbon fiber BMW logo over it. __________________ McLaren F1 - BMW M Power S70/2 | | | 01-11-2009, 12:42 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: New Orleans Posts: 970 | yep, should plug right in __________________ ^being rebuilt^ until then: daily car: 96' Blue DASC'd ti with koni coilovers slowly progressing... weekend car: 85 1/2' 944 Porsche no a/c, p/s, gutted cat, loud as hell exhaust, loud as hell sound system | | | 01-11-2009, 01:07 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | looks good, someday I'd like to have a 3-spoke M3 wheel in my car, four-spoke wheels are just kinda plain to me | | | 01-11-2009, 01:11 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: New Orleans Posts: 970 | yeah i just dont like the fact that the m3 3 spoke is so big and bulky in the middle, looks hideous to me i like the euro with the skinny airbag better __________________ ^being rebuilt^ until then: daily car: 96' Blue DASC'd ti with koni coilovers slowly progressing... weekend car: 85 1/2' 944 Porsche no a/c, p/s, gutted cat, loud as hell exhaust, loud as hell sound system | | | 01-11-2009, 01:24 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by minicoop900 i like the euro with the skinny airbag better | yup, that's the one I meant, the US one looks like it has a big black pancake in the middle | | | 01-11-2009, 01:44 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: New Orleans Posts: 970 | exactly! haha thats why i figured id go with the 4 spoke, if i ever get enough money ill get the euro 3 spoke but for 75 $ im happy for now haha __________________ ^being rebuilt^ until then: daily car: 96' Blue DASC'd ti with koni coilovers slowly progressing... weekend car: 85 1/2' 944 Porsche no a/c, p/s, gutted cat, loud as hell exhaust, loud as hell sound system | | | 01-11-2009, 07:10 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Austin Posts: 3,059 | I like the 4 spoke better. It gives multiple gripping points that help you give a stronger grip for turns that require more turning with just 1 motion compared to the 3 spoke. But for looks, the 3 spoke is much cooler. Nice steering btw. __________________ Come get a ti-shirt Quote: From the e30 M3, evolved the e36.
