Default WTB - Console stuff tray

I am looking for one or two "stuff trays"....The part just below the clock/info center.

By null at 2012-06-27

I want to install my satelite radio in there and need a couple so I can experiment with cutting and fitting.

I also need instructions on how to get sumbitch out. I tried to get my good one out last weekend and it felt like I was gonna break somthing.

Our cars don't use the same console as the pix.

Don, You have to remove the trip computer first, then the tray and switch section. To remove the trip computer, there is a release snap located on the underside which can be reached through a hole above the little shelf. Press that in and you can slide the computer out, disconnect it, and then remove the console piece.

This DIY is for adding a start button, but the first section shows how to remove the OBC/Console.

Good Luck!

I was wondering why Don was asking about this "tray" option too.
Then I recalled that he owns a beautiful 318is.
Glad to see that James was able to help out.

Hmm...I had no idea our consoles were different. What do yours look like? (Said that to a girl once and got slapped;-))

Thanks for the DIY link Wolferj. Very helpful.
