Default New drifting mods

Added a few mods to the car today to add some more drifting fun factor to the car:

20mm spacers in the front, 4mm steering rack spacers, and the new steering wheel, just gotta wait for the drift season to start back up again..

mostly started last year and dont really have any media to show as i've been going solo and no one at the events really bothers to take pics / vids of non-japanese cars.

im thinking about getting a vholdr to get some in-car footage though

what is the best way for you to drift? do you just clutch kick and counter-steer it?

ive mostly been using clutch-kick to initiate, you can also use inertia or the feint to initiate too. haven't gotten around to using the e-brake to initiate yet

ebrake will help a lot to initiate considering the low power of the car. clutch kick is useful for extending a drift in a long turn if you start to lose angle... just keep the power down and stab the clutch and release to keep it going.

i played with my ti once at an event in the rain, but it doesnt have an LSD so it was futile to hold a drift. posted a pic up here in my other thread, but on stock suspension it was all kinda wobbly.

i have a 328 motor with a 4.10 in the rear so it's pretty easy to break traction with clutch kicks even in third gear

gotcha.. i knew i'd stick my foot in my mouth..LOL my ti is my daily, so it is stock all of 120rwhp or so.

they called my ti the "german hachi" at the track.. haha

in regard to ebrake use, i tend to use it a lot in tandem runs if i need to trim the line to dive in on the lead driver, take a tighter line..etc. it will tuck the nose in more mid drift..

since you have the power, give it a shot. similar effect to left foot braking, but much easier to manipulate.

yeah i think clutch kick is more convenient and less unpredictable.. i clutch kicked the ti on a parking lot after it rained.. omg it was not cool.. bodyroll city!
