The car wants to stall as soon as you take your finger off of the hose because of the vacuum leak. I suppose he let it suck a little too much at a time and the car would rev itself up and I would yell and tell him to stop feeding it and it would drop back down. Somehow we managed to not hydrolock the engine, lol. It definitely helped my engine though, quieted it down and smoothed out the idle. Thanks for the initial write up jess! __________________ ~Dave~

My plan when I did it was to pull the throttle cable to keep the engine rpms up since I was alone. However due to not having a third hand I couldn't manage it. but it never stalled.

Question- does seafoam shorten the lifespan of the O2 sensors or the cat? Mine are pretty new (thanks again Jess!), don't wanna mess em up. __________________

Well...I replaced my cat a few months after I seafoamed the engine. However, it was rattling before I used the seafoam (I think), I'm not sure if it made the rattling worse or not, I also have a '98 so the cat was bound to crap out eventually. __________________ ~Dave~

Phil, I've honestly never heard of it causing any problems. I've used it on my car as well as about 7-10 customers cars and have only seen good results. It's definitely not a "fix all", but it does seem to "smooth" things out. Some may notice huge improvements while others experience minimal, but still improvements none the less. My engine was relatively new when I used it, didn't really smoke as bad as some of the other cars I treated. The only reason I had to replace my o2 sensors was because the post cat sensor was broken due to hitting a block of ice in the road and I just decided to replace both at the same time for good measure. I will definitely use it in my s52 when the time comes and I highly recommend it to those with over 100k miles on their motors. I know I have been gone along time since I have posted but since then the Ti has taken on more miles and more years. Today I failed inspection on my Hydrocarbons by 12points. Scored 232 and supposed to be at least 220. So I am going to Sea Foam the car and then change the oil. Take it back tomorrow and see how it goes. I guess this will be a good test to see how much it helps at least with smog issues. Wish me luck since my tags expire on Saturday  __________________

Seam Foamed the engine and drove it around for about a 100 miles. Changed the oil and took it up there. Passed this time with a score of 83 instead on 232. Wow! Sea Foam FTW __________________

WoW I want to seafoam my TI it has 155k and needs an oil change and going to replace the o2 sensors just scared cuz I never done this before ahah __________________
