It sounds like there is something wrong with your valves.

Could be the water pump is going.

Take a couple feet of one inch plastic plumbing and put one end to where the water pump is and listen.

WTH? Why do you have two threads going for the same thing? I didn't notice when I replied to the other thread.

If you just replaced your headers, chances are you have an exhaust leak. That can sound an awful lot like tapping metal if your gaskets aren't sealing properly. Look for soot deposits around the gasket to indicate escaping exhaust fumes.

As nice as it is to be able to ask other people for help, this is usually how you should go about it on a forum like this:

1. Explain in detail the situation
2. Make sure you try using the Search feature first
3. Explain in detail what you have done so far to analyze the problem
4. Courteously ask for other people's advice on how to approach the problem
5. Remember to say thanks when someone takes time out of their day to help you with something

Why the head.... many many people told me it was a problem with the timing chain that we heard. i'll go to a mechanic to get the car verified.
