Something of coarse that will fit my car, 96' ti. | b&m race shifter from turner motorsport is $150... my girlfriend just got it for me for my birthday and it is so awesome. it makes stock shifters make me want to puke because they are so sloppy. but check out turner motorsport because they have a lot of good stuff for our cars for decent prices, they are i think devoted to bimmers __________________ 92 4-door LTW Iron-oxide/air muffler | | | 12-02-2006, 12:00 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | Quote: Originally Posted by hhspunter b&m race shifter from turner motorsport is $150... my girlfriend just got it for me for my birthday and it is so awesome. it makes stock shifters make me want to puke because they are so sloppy. but check out turner motorsport because they have a lot of good stuff for our cars for decent prices, they are i think devoted to bimmers | Does it go straight into gear? Does the shifter accidently go into 2nd from 3rd instead of 3rd into 4th. Sometimes when i redline gears and im in 3rd tryng to go into 4th like it wont go in smoothly. Last time i went straight down and some how i went into 2nd, and i almost blew the engine cuz i was at redline 3rd and i pushed the clutch back in clickly before blowing it. | | | 12-02-2006, 12:34 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Lincoln Park Capitol Hill, Washington DC Posts: 741 | http://www.racdyn-usa.com/Merchant2/...ry_Code=e36tun Contact at Racing Dynamics: Fariz (freeze) 1800 296 8850 ext. 229 fariz@electrodyne.cc Good Luck __________________ It's always a great day to be underwater and play with the fish.....preserve our oceans and reefs" Fariz 1997 318ti, Hellrot (Bright Red), Dinan Stage 2 Chip 16x7 OEM sport Wheels/X-Brace/Custom Strut Brace/Cold Air Intake/M-Tec Steering Wheel/Koni Adjustable FrontShocks/ Bilstein Sport Rear Shocks /H&R Sport Springs/Custom fabricated strut tower brace/Rear Strut brace, Stromung Exhaust Future Mods: E46 17" wheels or Kosei K-1 17x8.5s | | | 12-02-2006, 12:38 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | Quote: Originally Posted by weezer | How good is that shifter? A shift lever is not going to fix that. Broken bushing. In my case, I have a weak or broken dent spring. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 12-02-2006, 02:57 AM | #9 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 12-02-2006, 03:02 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti Shift lever not going directly into gear can be other problems. You would probably gain more by rev matching and not using the clutch at all. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 12-02-2006, 03:14 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | Well either way i want to get a good short shifter.
