Default Clutch Pedal

Being the idiot i am, i let my friend drive my newly aquired 318ti. He told me that he had driven a manual before, yet he really hasnt. So after 4 stalls and every start that wasnt stalled being jerky i got in. He stalled it trying to get started to turn left at an intersection, and i had had enough. so we switched in the middle of the green light. when i got in the car would start and then stall immeditatley, which happened twice. i gave it gas the third time to keep it running and pulled away with an extremely soft clutch. i drove it home and then called another friend who kinda knows what he is talking about. i told him the deal, and he said that since it is a hydraluc clutch it could have overheated and and the the fluid would be easier to push when hot giving me a soft clutch. He did not comment on it stalling twice just trying to start though. I know if the clutch is too soft then i should bleed the fluid, but what about it stalling, could their be engine damage? anything you can think of could help. Im really scared now.

hey where in ohio are u?

I wouldn't worry too worried- these cars are pretty tough. How many miles/years do you have on it? Want us to come down there and slap your friend around?

it's unlikely a large amount of damage was done in such a short period of time--now and again i throttle my little bimmer and she still comes back for more.

as for the stalling, it's probably a bit of carbon on the cylinders. warm it up, and get it on the highway; should clean it out.

Well my stalling issue was a bit different (Stalling at idle with erratic idle), but it had to due with the Idle control valve and cracked vacuum hoses going to the Idle Valve & air injection hoses going to the injectors. Maybe the old bits lost it just then when your friend drove it. Something always goes wrong when you let friends drive your ride!?!?
