Default throttle body

I can't find a throttle body besides hamman, but it's still too small. I might have to just bore it out. Anyone know of any company who offers M3 bodies?

Default Throttle body

We have a throttle body kit for the 318.
In my opinion ,however biast that may be,Is the bes throttle body kit out there. Its a complete conversion kit to fit the 3.2l M3 throttle body to your 318 or z3 1.9l. kit includes:
M3 throttle body
Throttle body adapter plate
Throttle cable fittings
New KO Custom throttle position sensor
Idle controll valve converter plate
Gaskets
And NO, we do not sell the kit without the throttle body, we modify the throttle body for this aplication.
Price: MSRP $299 call for special pricing (888)-581-1035

Also have one in the works for the M3 using a 5 series (v8)throttle body , If your interested, give me a call and Ill fill you in.

A question because I live in Europe:
you're not talking of Individuals throttle bodies of euro-spec M3, but the kit that you sell is based on US-spec M3 throttle body... it's true? Have you a pic, please? I want the pic because this is new for me... I'm abitued to see ITBs!!!
There are advantages with this system leaving the stock AFM? There is a bigger air flow meter that can be fitted on 1.9L m44 with minor modifies (thinking of S/Cing )?
Thanks
Ah, mine is a m44 318is...

This works for the 1.8 M42 also? What kind of gains would you quote? How hard is it to install? Would it work in conjunction with your supercharger? As in me buy the TB now and buy your SC later. Will it work?

The most you'll get is 3-4hp to the wheels if that, but this is best if you have a CAI.

I was looking for a upgraded throttle body for the s52 m3 motor which I have, not for the m42 or m44. $299.99 for that kit? Damn thats expensive, I can get them for $120.00 or sometimes cheaper from the yards. sorry not interested!

I am assuming I would get between 6-8 bhp because that is what the dinan TB quotes and this one is 30% larger. I also am buying a CAI from KO that puts the filter right down behind the foglight. So who knows maybe if I am extraorinarily lucky I will net 10-12 bhp. I have heard that a free flow exhaust helps make more power when combined with better intake components. Maybe easier in and easier out?

A combustion engine is really just a big airpump, so the more air in the more power, and the more air out the more HP. (I'm super-simplifying, ignoring issues like back pressure, etc)

If you balance the percentage increase on both ends then you get the best gains, effectively just bumping the power range up a notch. If you only do intake or exhaust it changes the shape of the curve, usually only at the highest peaks with minimal effects on the low and high end.

Thats why a supercharged car will outrun a turbocharged car even when they're quoting similar power ratings. If the whole curve is up you get the most consistant acceleration.

One of the fastest Auto-X cars I've ever seen was an M3 that had been tuned up to 400ish hp/380ish torque, but at 2000rpm it was already making 80% of that and at 7000rpm it was still making 75%, a very flat curve, power everywhere as they say...
