Default (Another) Rally Car Build!

Well after much ado with the AEM ECU on my M42 ITB project, and my fiancee finishing her event at Oregon Trail Rally 2018 in the 2002 which some obvious need for improvement, it's finally time to get a move on this.

The goal of this car is to be a workhorse. The will remain M42 based. As much as possible will be off the shelf until my Rx7 rally car or the 2002. It will be Lina's primary car and maybe I'll race it when the Rx7 is being difficult.

Phase 1? Well that is simply the most important part. The cage. Ordered a kit from Custom Cages UK. It is a T45 FIA kit. Still waiting for it to arrive so we can start fitting.

The next big thing for a proper rally car? Suspension. Reiger makes bits for the E36 and these just arrived.

After the AEM ecu fiasco with the ITBS, it was time to not play around with all the issues that come with a 60-2 wheel on an lower end ECU. The solution? The Link G4+ Thunder! I plan to extensively discuss setting up the M42 with ITBs with the Link ecu in some type of end all, be all discussion on the matter.

So yea. Rally car.

Haven't been home before dark to get photos. Or for that matter, taken it off the trailer! Many photos to come.

This also means I can start wiring up (and writing up!) the Link Ecu that Neel at Apex Speed has been helping me with.
