Yeah I will let u know but its not gonna be for a while tho, gotta get the car finish and running and then I can do the diff and hydraulic ebrake and stuff

oil pan, notice the hole in that tray and the dent in the oil pick up tube



all the steel pieces that were on the bottom of the oil pan



the piston in million pieces in the oil pan





pretty crazy damage to the engine

wow, is there even anything left of the piston? usually the top piece comes out somewhat intact

That's a pretty amazing effort. Piston must of hit warp speed 7!!!

Good job on that motor. I've blown 10+ drag motors on my boat turning 10,00rpm and never had one look that bad. I can see where the rod got loose and smashed the oil pickup but dang how long did you drive it after it blew?

Not even a second, engine blew, shut off and pulled over right away, a second or 2 max

after pulling the tranny out i decided to take it apart and maybe rebuild it but idk yet.


all clean after a hot pressure wash




some of the bolts and stuff, found the magnet inside full of metal shavins

I don't think the Getrag would be worth a rebuild.

yeah prolly not, i already have an m3 tranny anyways, i was more curious to see the damage on the second gear syncro and like how to take it apart and put it together

I have to call BS. There is no way you were driving like "granny" when that happened. I bet it sounding like "a garbage disposal with silverware in it"
