I got a BMW business cd radio from a bone yard, it came out of a 02 ZR3 tried to put it in my 96 ti but it won't take the code. Called the dealer, gave them the serial they verified the code was correct. After 3 tries it says code wait which then makes you wait a few hours before you can re-enter the code. The yard sent me a photo of the unit still in the dash before I bought it meaning it was probably working. Is this a common problem? Any suggestions? | | | 02-13-2011, 01:30 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | not a common problem that I'm aware of, had no issues with mine... __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. I think that some radios you enter the numbers of the code in by pushing the radio preset buttons that have the number, but on others you have to enter the code by pushing presets 1-4 by however many times the number is that's a very terrible explanation but if the code is 1324 you'd either enter it as 1-3-2-4 or 1-2-2-2-3-3-4-4-4-4, not sure how that radio takes the code | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
