This place is highly regarded in classic Mercedes world (another hobby of mine). They may have your driveshaft in stock already. When I ordered my Mercedes driveshaft a year ago, they were very professional. Found a rebuilt on the shelf of their facility in Richmond VA (they have multiple facilities) and had it to my house in 2-3 days. Shaft arrives in a very sturdy box. Looked beautiful - like new. By the way, older Mercedes and BMW driveshafts are nearly identical in terms of overall design and construction (I have an E30 BMW, which needed a rebuilt shaft two years ago), as if they were designed by same team of engineers. I didn't know about this place in Texas when I got my E30 shaft; that one I purchased from Turner Motorsports. The Turner shaft was also very nice but more expensive than what this company charges. I suspect Turner outsources their shaft rebuilding (it is a specialist job) and then charges you a markup. Place your old one in the and ship it back (pre-paid if I remember correctly). They will have a core charge refunded to your credit card within a week assuming it is rebuildable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by ptbowman; 02-11-2016 at 12:37 PM. |
