Default Remove exhaust heat shield due to x-brace

Hi all,

I recently upgraded the suspension on my ti, which included the addition of an x-brace after several recommendations on this site (Thanks).

However, my mechanic had to remove the exhaust heat shield in order to fit the x-brace. He has recommended that I buy a replacement heat shield which will fit around/ underneath the x-brace. My questions are as follows:

1. Can the x-brace and standard 318ti heat shield be fitted together?
2. Is there a heat shield on the bmw z3 which I can buy to fit around the x-brace? (Part No. needed)
3. Will there be any detrimental effects to the exhaust as a result of not fitting a heat shield after driving the car for a prolonged period?

Any help is much appreciated

Thanks in advance

heat shield should not interfere with X brace, something is being put together wrong. Might have to drill a hole through heat shield thats about it...
