While driving it is really prominent at 40-45 then diminishes with speed. If you let off the throttle it goes away. I am really frustrated right now since this is my daily vehicle. Anyone have any ideas what it might be? | | | 02-16-2009, 07:46 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Have you checked the condition of the motor mounts, transmission mounts, or differential bushings? | | | 02-16-2009, 08:18 PM | #3 | Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Texas Posts: 57 | No I haven't checked those yet. I will put it up in the air and check it out. | | | 02-17-2009, 01:01 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2004 Location: Fort Collins, CO Posts: 290 | While you're under there look for a spot where a balancing weight may have fallen off the driveshaft. They are usually spot welded on near the ends. | | | 02-19-2009, 04:51 AM | #5 | Member Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: Spokane,WA. Is it possible to get the u-joint replaced or am I screwed and have to spend a ridiculous amount of money for a new driveshaft? | | | 02-25-2009, 01:01 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2004 Location: Fort Collins, CO Posts: 290 | screwed | | | 02-25-2009, 01:44 AM | #8 | Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Texas Posts: 57 | ClubSport thanks for the confidince builder. LOL. I've got a guy checking on matching up a replacement u-joint that will fit the driveshaft. I've heard of it being done before on non serviceable u-joints. Hopefully he will find something. | | | 02-25-2009, 01:49 AM | #9 | Member Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: Spokane,WA.
