Ok.. so I feel kind of dumb asking this, but after tryiing to pry off a side piece of trim on the hatch door and hearing some crackling noises, I thought maybe I should seek guidance before I break the trim pieces and need to buy new ones. I know I can start with the bottom piece by pushing in the pins to the expanding platic rivets. (labeled #1). Does the other part of the bottom piece just pry off like the door panels? And then, how do you remove the side pieces (#5 & 7 in the diagram)? I know to remove the screws and knobs that hold up the shelf, but besides that, do I have to slide the trim pieces up or just pull directly out? I don't want to break them if I can help it. Please help!!!
The plastic clips are cheap. I got 50 for $10 shipped off ebay. Go ahead and get you some. The sides do slide up a tad before coming off. Once off you will see that they slide in to the bottom part.
