Hey Guys, Cars getting ready for the turbo to be installed. I'm looking to update the badge on the back of the car and I thought I'd ask for your opinion on which would look the best. There's 4 possible options: TURBO 328 ti or 328 ti TURBO or 328 ti or leave it as a 318ti What would you get? | | | 04-29-2010, 04:54 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | I vote 328ti, no "Turbo"... Too many idiots out there with stick-on Turbo emblems on cars that are obviously NOT turbos (ie: 1989 Hyundai Elantra's with primer black hoods, steelies and every other plasti-chrome badge from Pep-Boys)... Of course you could always badge it 328tit __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. I would vote for 328tii, it is very subtle and the only people who would get it are true enthusiasts. Check out the 1 series concept the 135tii, twin turbo, weight dropped, aero, signature paint job... Cool car something to give a taste as to what the new 'M1' would be like. | | | 04-29-2010, 06:14 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2004 Location: Sydney, Australia Posts: 593 | Appreciate the feedback Keep them coming Considering 328ti and 328tii. As much as I like the 328tit idea, I'm going to have to modify another ti badge to get it to be tit. | | | 04-29-2010, 06:39 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Gilbert Posts: 621 | wow, alright im not stupid i understood the last t stood for turbo i was just getting a little kick out of it, and sharing. __________________ *IF ITS FAST AND CHEAP, ITS NOT RELIABLE* *IF ITS CHEAP AND RELIABLE, ITS NOT FAST* *IF ITS FAST AND RELIABLE, ITS NOT CHEAP* | | | 04-29-2010, 07:59 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Bremerhaven, Germany Posts: 977 | Have you considered no badge at all and surprising people with what you've got? | | | 04-29-2010, 12:26 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by lysergicsurfer I would vote for 328tii, it is very subtle and the only people who would get it are true enthusiasts. | I had 328tii and no one got it. Even with 328ti I get people who say, I didn't know BMW made a 328ti. I say 328ti also. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 04-29-2010, 03:57 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Atlanta Posts: 233 | 328tit __________________ -PTS- "Some people like cupcakes better. You would fo sho get mad props. Everybody would be way scared, they wouldnt even try to race since they know how fast cars are with a ///m3 badge. Just joking, I thought someone would have said this by now, so I figured I would get it over with. | | | 04-29-2010, 08:27 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Gilbert Posts: 621 | if he does tti it should be 328T TI with a space between the t's like that __________________ *IF ITS FAST AND CHEAP, ITS NOT RELIABLE* *IF ITS CHEAP AND RELIABLE, ITS NOT FAST* *IF ITS FAST AND RELIABLE, ITS NOT CHEAP* | | | 04-30-2010, 03:41 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | 316i I'd go with 328ti seriously, maybe get the reverse script turbo graphic on the bumper like on the 02s though | | | 04-30-2010, 06:03 AM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: North Carolina Posts: 190 | tifreak that is a great idea too, I always loved how it says turbo in someone's review mirror when the 02 is coming up fast. I am not sure where you could put it since we dont have such a big lip on our cars. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
