Default OBDII OEM Alarm Factory Reset Help

Anyone know how to Factory reset the oem alarm on a 96 E36?

I learned a FOB from my 97 M3/4 into my daughters "new" 96 318ti Cali and now the FOB works BOTH cars.

It is quite annoying. I have found several articles on how to learn the FOBs/Remotes but none on how to "un-learn" them or clear all of them from the memory.

I will try getting it into learn mode and then exiting to see if that does it but if anyone knows the answer please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

OK, I figured this out and it was simple.

Every time you program the alarm, it clears all of the remotes and starts from "scratch".

So if you are adding a 2nd remote to an alarm, you have to register both remotes consecutively, even if the first one was working before.

Problem solved.
