All in all, I feel like it was a pretty darn productive hour and a half/$15. | | | 07-31-2012, 07:31 AM | #2598 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | Aside for waiting for a few renewal parts for a swap in motor, changed the oil filter housing gasket, valve and o-rings as it looked like it had leaked at some point. Changed out the emission hoses with new silicone ones as the old ones had a few cracks in them. Swapped in a new WP as well. Just waiting for the brown truck to show up with more stuff... __________________ 1998 318ti Sport - "Cali" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, Cali top 1998 318ti Sport - "Max" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, S52 1997 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior 1995 318ti Active - "Blanca" Alpineweib III/Schwartz leather interior Other Current Bimmers: 2006 530i / 2000 2.3L Z3 / 1997 1.9L Z3 / 1999 540it 1997 318ti Sport - "Huera" - RIP 1995 318ti Active - RIP 1995 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Sold 1994 325i Sedan - "Jade" - Sold 1991 318ic - "Bert" - Sold 1985 635csi sold 1984 533i "Max" Sold 1984 318i sold BMWCCA #160411 SUPPORT 318ti.org! Looks like the water pump had been culprit for some time but with m minimum driving it was not showing symptoms. Active Autowerke's awesome shop did it again. - New Stewart water pump
- New High Performance AA Thermostat
- New Belt Tensioner
- New Belt Tensioner Pulley
- Coolant flush.
Car runs like a champ and now I can rev with no worry of blowing my top. __________________ | | | 08-05-2012, 05:19 PM | #2602 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Rodeo, CA Posts: 226 | Bought waterproof breathable car cover, going to wash car, dry off, and put cover on tonight. Paints going to hell on top surfaces from the salt in the dew overnight each night, poor Greenie was always garaged before I bought it. Summertime is my Victory v-92 SC time. Poor Greenie sits more in summer heat too. __________________ Love ALL Bimmers. Seriously considering a resto project. Cut out the cancer and build a bionic heart to transplant. Want a 6 in it, with a 6 speed but want OBD1 all the while I NEED close to 30mpg for work I should probably just pull out the idea to get an old e21 or e30 as the long term project... All I had done was minor maintenance- cooling system flush, oil change, belt change. Car averaged 73 mph (above 4k almost the whole time), and did about 27 mpg while driving 490 miles. All with cold A/C! Although the compressor is making a terrifying noise. __________________ '96 318ti California Edition- Montreal blue '68 1600-2-Caribe blue | | | 08-09-2012, 03:33 AM | #2608 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | | | | 08-09-2012, 03:42 AM | #2609 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | ^^^Seen the stanced skateboard on your FB the other day, cracked me up | | | 08-09-2012, 05:08 AM | #2610 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | Installed new(ish) Schroth Quick-fit harnesses for my next track adventure! __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion.
