Default 98 318ti door swap question

hello everyone, this is my first post for my first BMW. i recently got a 98 318ti that has some body issues and i am needing to completely replace the drivers side door. my question is, are all E36 doors interchangable for this year? i am having a real issue trying to find 318ti body parts and wanting to see if others would fit. i know the interior door panels are not interchangable but i was wondering if the door shells were.

Welcome to the org! And welcome to BMW. You'll find that they're very engaging to drive and can be trouble to work on sometimes but the TI is probably the easiest of them all.

TIs had sedan front ends, so I think a sedan door might fit. I'd wait for someone to back me up though before buying one. Coupe doors definitely won't fit. Where in Indiana are you? I have a connection there that may have some TI parts.

yes, the ti does have a sedan front end, pretty much any part of the car from the a pillar rear is ti specific. therefore sedan doors or coupe doors will not fit. the sedan doors are to short and are not lengthy enough for the ti. coupe/vert doors will not fit because, they are too long.

The Ti is unique from the A-pillar back. You must find Ti doors for it.
