Default engine rebuild?

im either going to rebuild my engine and add a dasc or do an m3 swap or 2.8 swap is it better rebuildthe engine and do the dasc i mean can i get alot of power out of the dasc with better pulley etc.?

you dont even have to rebuild you can just s/c that motor, no point in rebuilding a motor thats already perfectly fine

have a compression check done on your motor. do you have any oil leaks or significant consumption? these 4s are pretty tough. shop that has done my prior work was trying to talk me into a DASC and at the time i had around 180k. before anyone jumps on the shop, they race prep beemers, race them, blah blah blah ... they're good guys and do good work, they weren't just trying to sell me something to get more money. they said my motor is strong with no problems and adding the DASC would still be fine. so ... if you're concerned about the motor, get it checked first, but i'm guessing m44ic is right that you'll be able to proceed w/o rebuilding.

the engine is fine i mean i havent had any problems yet knock on wood and i htink im oging to get a compression check before i do the dasc
