Default Replacement for really bad struts and shocks

I needed replacement struts/shocks for my son's build. Renewing the car on a budget. Found these on eBay for $250 shipped.

I know you get what you pay for, but I'm counting that these are better than the original worn out ones on this 95k 1997 TI Sport.

Any updates on how they're performing? Looking to do a budget ti build and am wondering if this is a legit option.

Not performing yet, as i've not had a chance to install them. However WolfERJ has had them installed on his 97 TI for two years and he says while they are not the same ride as higher end suspensions, it is a purchase, for the price,he'd do it again. He indicated the ride is firm.

Perhaps, James can comment on his satisfaction.

I've heard that cheap coil overs make poping clunking sound, like when you turn the spring doesn't turn with and resets with a pop.I have no direct experience with and coil overs so it just what I heard.

Thanks! I did notice there are no pin roller bearings for the coilovers. I have them on my other set at the top perch, I know previously, they are hard to source, but would help the spring binding issue..

As far as the white TI, Thanks, it is a $700 project car. Clean body and interior with a blown head gasket. Needs all the normal renewal items. Replaced the engine, did all hoses, pipes, belts, filters, fuel lines. Basically the cooling system renewal stuff. Also found the wheels and basically 90% tires.

Seeing if I can get it all renewed for <$1k. I'm at <$910 and almost done.
