I didn't have high expectations for this thread, but it really looks pretty good. Nice job.

Yup. Printed out buti's logo, and turned it into a stencil with a utility pencil knife.

Got a little oil spill on the engine. The bastard who changed it couldn't careless that it was a Bimmer.

I used dupi-color metallic paint. And the wire is hooked up to my bi-colored angel eyes. And it connects to a flip switch that looks like the purge switch for NOS on Fast and Furious. I put on 1 of the blanks next to the ASC button.

was it done when he changed the filter? in his defense, it's hard not to spill oil when you pull the cap off, did he at least wipe it up? you could consider doing simple stuff like that yourself

I got a crazy good deal on the oil and the labor. Otherwise I would've done it myself. He didn't wipe it up. I didn't bother looking at it until a few weeks later. By then, the oil hardened up.

The oil change was done before I started painting it. And I didn't notice it until I started to.

You get what you paid for.

That's why i like doing my own oil change. Aren't you worried that the piant may come off because of the heat of the engine?

Haven't had it come off yet. Had my car warm up completely at least 50 times since I've painted it. Though, I might go out and buy a sealant just to be safe.

But I think dupi-color high performance is for engine components. It's says right on the can "paint automotive accessories". I read the fine print on the back, and it doesn't say anything about temperature. That being said, my dad has a few cans of regular dupi-color paint. On the back of them, it says not to use on anything that exceeds 200 degrees.

Kerosene will clean that up. Citrus degreaser may work but it will take a while for the solvent to work.

Here's the switch. I'll get around to cleaning up the super glue mess when I feel like it. I don't think any civics wanna race me after see that switch. Btw, my friend with the mustang always called me "tokyo", short for tokyo drift. I use to do dumb stunts all the time with my ricer sentra (cause it was a cheap car to begin with, and repairs were even cheaper.). Take a look at my gallery, with the album of my sentra. I no longer have it though.
