Hi guys, The clock symbol is for either brake fluid or coolant change could be both depending on what it had last time, every 2 years brake fluid and 4 years coolant.

You're not contributing anything to this thread.
MrAlex is aware of the inspection lights. According to the 3 green bars lite, it is not due for an inspection for another 20K miles or 32Km.

I wonder why it's only in Euro clusters.

the bmw service is divided into

oil service
inspection 1
inspection 2
brake fluid
coolant

the oil service and inspection have a written warning so it should be brake fluid then since you would kno if your coolant was bad.....

edit: sorry looks like its figured out then...

Amazing what you will find in the manual.
Must be a TUV requirement. Pretty good idea if you ask me.
I guess it's based on time.
I can't believe this is the 1st time anyone asked about it.

I don't believe most of us have ever seen it because it might be a Euro only indicator. Brake fluid is something that is due every two years <I think>, so I don't think it's that.

I know a tech at BMW North America. I'll ask him.
Also I just recently set location to be a required field because we have members all over the world.

Edit: Just sent off an email to my friend at BMW NA. I hope he still works there.
Thank you. I'll change the brake fluid then.

You will probably still have to reset something to get the clock to go out. Perhaps one of our EU members can help with info there?

Well with the uk reseting tool, you hold down the inspection button.
I mention'd this tread today at work (Bmw Dealer) and we all thought that all bm's had the clock symbol, not just euro vehicles, learn somthing new every day.
