Possibly the 2.3 mazda3 hatchback but I dont know yet, I will know after tomorrow, if they work out a good deal and a good trade I will no longer be in the BMW family. It is a hard decision because the car means soooo much to me, but it is getting to the point that repairs are becoming more costly then monthly payments of a new car and I am afraid something very severe will happen and I cant afford to fix it at all. I will let everyone know if and when this happens. Forgive me guys lol PS if their mazdaspeed3 is still there by time I get there (they are impossible to get to they sell the moment they hit the lot) I might be rolling away with that instead. wish me luck __________________ my new world | | | 02-22-2007, 07:50 AM | #32 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | that's cool, but I bet a 6cyl motor swap would cost less than the Mazda. You'ld fall in love with your car again and as long as you get a good motor, you'll be good for another 200k. So a tiny fender bender I am done they will most likely total the car. The other thing is I pay almost as much as the car is worth every six months to insurance....almost pointless. Another thing is I need a bigger car (well prefer), need better gas mileage and with the area I live in a safer car due to sooo much congestion. Trust me I have been over every possible thing I could that would make keeping the car out weigh giving it away. Everyone knows who is close to me how much the car means to me, if I could I would buy a car without trade or selling but its my only means of down payment. I want to stick around the forum, everyone here I feel is a good friend. And like I said this isnt a for sure 100% thing. __________________ my new world | | | 02-22-2007, 08:03 AM | #34 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Well we like having you here. I remember driving a Protege 3 (I think) and was pretty impressed with the handling. Just lacked power. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 02-22-2007, 07:55 PM | #37 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Cashville,TN Posts: 124 | Yeah the Mazadaspeed was a decent car. Had a lot of quality parts on it but was a turd for all that engineering. Quick nonetheless. Mazda is an awesome car although I'm really not into them. Someone posted a research thing about cars that show the least amount of mechanical failure signs within 9 years or something and Mazda was the best, with Honda second, and Toyota Third. BMW was in the middle towards the top. If you're diggin hatchbacks, go scoop up an 02 Honda Civic SI. Super easy to modify and they will outhandle and outrun that Mazda. Resale is awesome on them too. __________________ Mmm.. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
